Sorry I can't help you, Joan, I'm a newbie.
But it's good to know there's another woman in this group.

M$Validation. She has a project due in one week. Ipulled an all-nighter putting her hard drive in myP4-WinXP box as slave for all the virus and malwarescanning. I was able to back up some of her documentsto my box, but her Favorites, Address Book, plus someothers wouldn't. I had to wait for HP Restore CDs andtoday they arrived.I grabbed a few new toys: An AC powered USB hub andan adapter that lets internal IDE drives work off USB. Thanks to PCLinuxOS P-92 LiveCD I have them on aFat32 formatted hard drive. Now do I need to doanything to the files in Linux with permissions orattributes to be sure they will be readable in WinXPHome. They were just in the "Owner" part of Documentsand Settings, but I may have made a different Adminpassword. Will that make any difference? Jog my memory, so I don't get buried in Google Linuxor my older Red Hat books trying to figure it out atthe last minute. She's expecting to pick it up today. Thanks so
much,Joan------------------------------_______________________________________________RLUG mailing listRLUG at rlug.orghttp://lists.rlug.org/mailman/listinfo/rlugEnd of RLUG Digest, Vol 21, Issue 29************************************
