Hello Dennis. SUSE 10 using Yast and Cups has the same problem after the 
initial install. Their solution is to reboot after the printer is 
installed-then it prints.  I don't know if it is a Cups ora Yast 
problem. Or if it  will apply to your  problem at all. Rich
