So far, SBC is telling us that they have no plans to stop wholesaling DSL to
independent ISPs, but we're still waiting for that in writing.  I will update
the list when we find out more.

As for switching your DSL provider to GBIS (or any other DSL wholesaler), it
goes pretty smoothly, especially if you have one of the newer Speadstream
5100b DSL modems.  I'd certainly like to encourage everyone to do so! :-)
